Living in Charlotte's Quail Hollow & Carmel

One of the premier residential districts of Charlotte, the Quail Hollow and Carmel areas are full of stately homes on quiet tree-lined streets.

But once per year, the eyes of the nation descend on this corner of the city. That’s because of Quail Hollow Club, the private golf course that regularly hosts PGA Tour events drawing the world’s best golfers, from the Wells Fargo Championship to the major PGA Championship.

Quail Hollow Club isn’t the only country club in this part of town. Carmel Country Club is widely respected as one of the best all-around values and for its two full golf courses.

The Quail Hollow and Carmel areas lie just south of SouthPark, convenient both to Ballantyne and Uptown.

For peaceful living with a dash of the spotlight, it’s a good place to be.

Quail Hollow real estate

The Quail Hollow and Carmel areas are known for their large neighborhoods built around golf courses or community pools. But increasingly, developers are filling in the spots in between with new townhomes for folks looking to downsize.

The gated communities off of Gleneagles Road include some of Charlotte’s biggest and most luxurious mansions. But there are plenty of options at lower price points, with many neighborhoods ranging from the upper $200,000s to the $500,000s.
